help.....socket stuck in spark plug hole....any ideas?

decided to change out my plugs before the races tonight, and i got my spark plug socket stuck in the access hole to the spark plug......it just won't stay attached to the extension.....i tried to pull it out with needle nose pliers, and i can't get a good enough grip on it.....any other ideas???

this sounds so stupid.....

whenever i do my plugs, i use my extension and lean it to one side and then pull up on it. works everytime. give that a shot.

ive had the same thing happen. put alittle lean to the right and twist and pull at once. then when you get it out put a srip of duct tape around the socket and extension

do this.... get a long extension... loose the spark plug and tight it again... make pressure to one of the sides and pull it up.. this should do it.....

You have to go a little lefty-loosey to remove it. All you want to do it separate it from the plug, not loosen the plug.

Do you happen to have a welder, a roll of duct tape and a can of tuna on hand? If you do, I can tell you how to get it out while eating lunch.

no welder or tuna, and i can't reach down far enough to duct tape it....

i did get some jb weld and put that on it....waiting for it to cure, then i'm gonna yank the **** outta it and try and get it out. also gonna try and spray wd-40 down there and see if i can get it lubricated.....

hopefully i can get this done pretty quick and still make it out to the track....

no, i jb welded the socket to the extension and sprayed some wd-40 down there. a little turning and pulling and it was outta there....used a different socket, and got them all changed out.

really appreciated that nissan did a good job of tightening up the bolts on the rear coils when they replaced them.....i was able to unscrew them by hand....

OMFG i changed the spark plugs om my skyline ZOMG number 3 and 4 are bastards (its a RB30e) you have to take teh intake piping off and use a "wobble extension"

WOW NISSAN you did a good job at making me take 45 minutes to change 6 plugs

be happy you dont have to take the intake manifold off

all i use are wobble extensions, and i dont use spark plug sockets, i cant stand the o-ring plug retainers and the time it takes to fight with them, albeit not that much.

wouldn't have worked....it wasn't just sitting down there, it was stuck in the hole....the diameter of the socket was too large, and it got stuck in the hole. i did, however, use a magnet to get to the screws that held on the rear coils....my fat hands couldn't have reached if there was a million dollars down there!!
