sign of a blown strut?

i put h&r springs on about a month ago, and recently i noticed that the passenger rear tirewell sits about 3/4-1 inch lower than the driver's rear.
is this a sign of a blown strut? when one side is noticably lower than the other?

Oil leakage is a sure sign, check for dampness around the seal and below.

My OEM struts never leaked and bounced just fine with the "bounce test". A sure indication it's blown is the car bounces almost endlessly after hitting bumps. If you already have the struts out, compress it manually and see if it rebounds or just sticks to the compressed state.

the absorber portion of the strut wont affect ride height.

even if you have blown struts, the ride height should be the same, if you are on level ground that is. maybe a spring coil is not sitting on the spring perch. that has happened to me in my 510 once, so maybe check that out.

hmm, ok. thanks for all the ideas. tokico blues should be here tomorrow, and the install is prolly coming this weekend.
the car seems to ride fine, and does not bounce out of the ordinary. maybe the spring is turned funny on that side...
it rides like *** on stock struts, hopefully the blues will give it some more give, like the oem suspension.

i just swapped out my stock shocks to the tokico blues and felt a lot smoother. my stock shocks were very worn that they don't even come up after you push the stick in. new shocks pop back out real fast and is harder to push in...also, i think my worn front shocks made the front a bit lower because after i got the blues installed the front seem higher by like 1-2 finger gaps =/

i just received the tokico blues. i think they sent me wrong parts. i got HB3102 and HU2905. tokico's web site states that this is for a 4th gen max, and 5th gen uses HB3188 and HU2943.
can anyone that has bought hp blues for their 5th gen confirm which part numbers they received?

From: Auburn WA,
Struts/shocks will never affect ride height. Ride height is controled by springs only. You may have a bad spring, or just one installed incorectly. If everything looks right and it still has an uneven ride heights (more than a 1/4 inch) then you should be able to get H&R to warrenty them out. Good Luck

edit:The strut mounts can also cause some ride height differences if they are worn
