LEDs in Turn Signal Housing?
LEDs in Turn Signal Housing?
I'm trying to make the front of my car a more crisp white color and the turn signal bulbs are just awful...they are a yellow/green/offwhite color with the Polarg bulbs in them and I need something straight white so I guess my only option is LEDs. Do you guys know of any LEDs that will light up the housing and not just shoot a straight beam like most LEDs? Also, I don't want my blinker to be 2x speed so I need some kind of a load resistor thing...what does that involve? I assume it's not too difficult or time consuming? Thanks.

Check the LED bulbs on page 2 of my site.
Got them all from autolumination I like them.

Most white LEDs will shine a purple-ish color as opposed to just white. In order to run LEDs without having it hyperflash, you need load resistors. Installing them is easy, simply splice them to the power and ground wire of the turn signal, and then place the resistors somewhere where it won't melt anything as they get really hot. Done deal
well im not sure about MA, but i know in some states the front turn signals must emit either amber OR White.
Any vehicle may be equipped and, when required under s. 316.222(2), shall be equipped with electric turn signals which shall indicate an intention to turn by flashing lights showing to the front and rear of a vehicle or on a combination of vehicles on the side of the vehicle or combination toward which the turn is to be made. The lamps showing to the front shall be mounted on the same level and as widely spaced laterally as practicable and, when signaling, shall emit white or amber light.

I've had the hyper white ones from autolumination for almost a year down driving around in the DC metro area, & i've only been stopped once by this stupid cop who tried to tell me that my lights were blue. I had to open my hood and pull them out just to prove otherwise, she let me go after that. But it does give the car a better look if you have HID's or a nice set of PIAA's to go with it.

All the LED in white from autolumination are a bright HID white

MMMMM LEDs
As said with LEDs in front or rear signals you need load resistors.
Off topic:
n3985, I just bought some 194s from autolumination. How are the white reds? Brighter than polarg? Better (true) white and red color?

If you want a blue 3175 bulb in blue with 6-5mm LEDs, I am selling them for $5 shipped.
