Need a bit of information from 02-03 owners with SE 17s

I'm sick of warped rotors, and am about to order and install 6th gen calipers and rotors. But before I do, I need some HELP from 5.5 gen owners with stock SE 17s.

Based on the research I've done, it seems that the 6th gen calipers and rotors will fit behind the 02-03 stock SE 17s just fine (but not 00-01).

What I need from 02-03 owners, if you don't mind, is the measurement of the space from the face of the rotor to the inner edge of your wheel spokes. Essentially the clearance between the inside edge of the spokes to the outside rotor face.

I have about 2" with my wheels, so I figure if you guys have 2" or less, then I'll be able to fit the 6th gen calipers and rotors without spacers. Otherwise I'll need to look into some other upgrades..

Thanks!

I appreciate it, but I think I really need the measurements with SE wheels. The reason being that I know the SE wheels will clear, and from there I should be able to determine if my wheels will clear. To my knowledge, no one with GLE wheels has installed 6th gen calipers and rotors yet. Thanks again though.

I'll edit my original post.

I've gone so far as to use Frozen Rotors already. I'm ready to try something different, something bigger.

From previous threads from Irish and others who've upgraded to 6th gen calipers/rotors is that it won't fit. It was another guy who did it who said it did fit but if you saw his pictures, the calipers were real close to the stock 17's, you will not feel comfortable. I'm planning on doing this mod also but I have 2k4/5 Se rims.

From what I read, they will not fit behind 00-01 17" wheels. I saw pics where they fit behind the 02-03 SE 17" wheels. The clearance I saw in those pics was acceptable to me, and if I have even more space then it's even better.

I just need the measurement. I'll figure out what to do from there.

I didn't think so either, but apparently there's enough difference that one will fit and the other won't.
