I dont think they do. I have a really good extended warranty and they dont cover exhaust or emissions components. They dont cover exhaust because it is almost guaranteed to go bad and it is VERY expensive, and entire Nissan exhaust is over $2,000 after it is installed.

That is exactly what i was going to say. If dealer gives you run around. Best thing to do is call Nissan HQ and b!tch. After that the dealership will be on hands and knees.

Last I saw in my book for my 2000 it was 80,000 miles and that is ONLY the main Catt and pre-catts, and that can be thrown out the window if you have a y-pipe or headers.

100,000 miles might be applicable for your 2002, I am not sure if that is for ours though.

if you have an aftermarket cat-back can they refuse to replace your cat or other emissions stuff if it goes bad?

No, its after the cats, it has no effect on them. Y-pipes and headers can because they are before the main cat, when you put them on they remove the precats (y-pipe only for 00-01). They can say it caused premature failure because you tampered with the exhaust...
