Solid Pedal Feel, But Brakes arent biting.

My pads dont seem to be biting well on the rotors. My stopping power is not as good as it used to be, and these rotors and pads are only 6 months old. I am starting to get some noticble squeal from the fronts too. Any ideas on what these symptoms are indicative of?
I have Powerslots with Hawk HPS pads and Goodrich SS Brakelines. I just put my 18 G35c's on my car this weekend. I believe the 18's are a tad heavier than my OEMs, but would that cause the lack of stopping power?
Any ideas or suggestions... hit me!
