Question: Climate control lights are out

Suddenly my climate control units Air Recirculation button, the red/blue temperature bars and the A/C button all are not lit when the headlamps are on.

I pulled out the radio and the climate control unit and so far was unsuccessful in trying to get access to the climate control unit. I'm going to have to fight with the radio's screws that hold it to the mounting bracket as they are on there VERY tight.

Is replacing the light bulb in there going to be easy? Or should I just take it in and get it done the easy way?

Many thanks.

I have a 2002. Unfortunately, I think the LEDs that light up the buttons and what not are directly soldered onto the PCB.

Side note, anyone replace the factory non-bose radio with a single DIN unit and have those gaps on the left/right side of the radio?

Yeah, there are 4 or 5 different mounting kits. Metra, Schosce, look around

Now about the lighting on the climate control unit? Just pop it open and take a look?

Yeah there are three little "button" type LEDS that are behind the PCB of the climate control. Really easy to remove and they cost about 5-10 dollars per bulb at the stealership.

Just so you guys know, the 3 bulbs that illuminate the climate control are NOT LEDs.
