Speaking of paint chips ...

I was at a Nissan dealer last nite with my brother-in-law-to-be for paperwork on his Altima lease when I looked thru the Frontier brochure (they do look really cool). I turned to a page where there was a picture of a diamond flying towards the body of a Frontier. The caption read that Nissan shoots diamond chips at the paint to test and ensure the tough paint quality of their vehicles. I spilled a glass of coke on me as I fell off my chair on to the floor laughing. You guys must see this picture.

Come on... who is going to buy that. One of the hardest compounds in the world being launched at the surface of a modern car? I wouldn't be surprised if the "Diamond Chip" went through the plastic fender and into radiator...
Nissan must really think the public is stupid. Maybe it's just the Japanese way of poking fun at silly round eyes'

Maybe Nissan should offer optional ding-sensing airbags for the front bumper? Never again if Nissan continues with this crap they call paint!

depends on wat did they shoot the diamond chips with. maybe they put them into some technician's mouth and told them to blow-dart it with a straw.
I am really tired of taking care the paint....even my mom's 99 camry has less paint chips than my 00 max.
