should a CAI be removed in the winter

ok personally i'm running my car on a stock intake, but after reading a few possts i noticed that a few guys take off their CIA in durning winter. woudn't it make more sense to keep it on. cold air + more cold air from CIA = more power. or maybe i'm missing something.

I run my CAI for 3 years now, without taking it off, winter, spring, summer, fall. Just to clean it. No problems...

you will actually see higher gains in the winter with a cai or wai. cold air compresses easier, and since cai/wai suck in more direct air, and it's much colder, you will get more power from your engine. the winter gas may offset these gains negatively, but cars do run better with colder air pushed into the engine.
