Squeaking Common with Axxis Pads?

Just replaced my stock rotors and raybestos quiet stop pads with Front Brembo Blanks and Axxis Metal Masters. I got this done at my mechanic. Its been squeaking ever since. It doesnt squeak that much when im stopping slow but rather when im stopping at 30mph or more. It makes this loud squeak and then quiets down as I come to a stop. Could this be my new rotors or brake pads? What can remedy this problem?

(got all these new parts from importrp)

My brakes do the opposite. The hotter the brake the quieter they are, or the harder one stepping on the brake the quieter they become. Otherwise they would squeak as hell right before complete stop.

I got my parts from importrp as well....brembo blanks and axxis ultimates though....

I'm through with axxis pads....I've had very bad experience with them....my old 96 had metal masters and they screeched during daily...and now the ultimates I have on my 2k2 screech waaay more than my metal masters use to....

I second this. The Axxis pads screech like crazy. Dust all over the place & wear very quickly. Back to the Raybestos QS for me.

Are there any other pads out there besides Raybestos QS, that have relatively low noise and low dust? I currently run Porterfields and there are super dusty and noisy, but grip really well. I am going to swap to new rims, so I want to keep the dust level down.

hawk pads squeek a little also. They dont make brake dust or anything but on light braking u can hear a slight squeel...when braking hard there's no noise.....

The squealing/scraping is due to the sqared/flat profile of the pads. If you take them out and bevel the edges it will stop. I had to do this on my hawk black race pads, HP+, and HPS pads.

Just got my front slotteds and Axxis Ultimates yesterday from GD section. They already are beveled on leading and trailing edges so that may not fix. I'll be installing mine tonight so I'll post my experiences later on.

I just installed the brembo blanks and axxis pads as well.

I have had no squealing at all. It is getting colder though, so that will tell.

One thing I hate, as others mentioned is the dust. Guys at work always marvelled at how clean my front wheels were with the oem pads. Now, after three weeks, they are completely covered with dust. It is ridiculous. Even more so given that the box claims these pads all but eliminate brake dust. So much for truth in advertising.

I am going back to oem pads next time. For now, I hardly ever wash my car. It has 130k miles, so I can live with the dust.

Anyone here get the Axxis Deluxe Plus that can post their experience? I was considering getting these. I kinda figured the metal masters and ultimates would squeak. Do the Deluxe Plus?

I just changed my rear brakes recently and I went with the OEM pads and Duralast rotors from Autozone. Stealer was charging at least $100 + a piece for the OEM ones so I decided to go with the cheaper rotors but I bought the OEM pads. So far I have'nt noticed any squealing coming from the brakes and it stops fine even on sudden stops. Dust level is low unlike axis which I have tried in the past with another car.

I threw on powerslot front rotors with the hawk performance pads. Squeaking almost every stop from about 10 mph to a stop. Hard braking has no noise that I can hear.

off topic for a bit, anyone know what to check for a low brake pedal or front calipers like vibrating while hard stopping? Please PM me or something. Thanks.

hmmm...it seems like axxis isn't the only ones making noise....

my next set of pads are going to be oem...u definitely can't go wrong with the squeal issue on OEM pads....
