Problems weren't related to the engine
For that matter, all Altima's/Maxima's/Murano's/G35s/350z's/Quest's/Pathfinder's/M35s/FX35's would be recalled.

Did I miss anyone?

xterras...

read carefully...

ANYTHING THAT HAS MOVING PARTS OR GENERATES HEAT IS PRONE TO FAILURE. FUTHERMORE, ANYTHING THAT IS MAN MADE IS SUBJECT TO FLAWS IN PRODUCTION OR MATERIALS

Porsche cant keep a coolant bottle in a 996/986 to save their life... dont get me started on airbag lights due to belt buckle and ckt failures.

yet no recall there.

...hmm

A couple of things changed with the 6th Gen model

1. Obviously the design (same VQ3.5 as 5.5 Gen but 10 more HP)
2. Assembly started in the USA

With both of the above, gotta expect some lemons in in 2004!

I dont think Nissan does recalls. Certainly not like other manufacturers.

And they seem to be problematic nowadays. I am not going back to Nissan. I found very little to like about the 03 Altima 3.5 I drove and the 05 Maxima I rented for a week.

lol... mfg's dont 'choose' to do recalls, they only do them if the NHTSA or EPA requires them to, due to design, etc. flaws. or in the occasional case of cust. satisfaction if its warranted or for general safety.
