lowering springs

guys Im totally new to the nissan world, I just bought my first max a week ago. its a 2000 SE. Anyway, i want to lower it. what do I need to do that? just springs? coilovers? what is an inexpensive set? and my goal is to lower the car, but I want dont want to have a real rough ride. Im sure it will be a little rougher, but I want to keep the roughness to a minimal. what set is best for me? I like the looks of "igor911" and "shurik" cars here on .org thanks

Tires

The ride depends on your tires as well. I had kumho supra tires and they rode like **** with my progress springs. Then I got some kumho asx and it feels a lot nicer. So you have consider your tires as well.

just get Maxspeeds and Illuminas.. as for tires do a search and it will depend on the rims you have..... think about it before you buy ... if you are planning on adding new rims.. well don't buy tires now.......

If you want a decent ride, springs and struts are your best bet, not coilovers. Like Lontar said.... Maxspeeds and H&Rs are nice riding springs and you can pair em with almost any struts. Just read what's in the link.

although it sounds like springs are ur best bet, i loved my max speeds. rode nice, but didnt look all that good imo, not low enough, most peopl lower for looks and the maxspeeds didnt do what i wanted them to do. but again the stickies will help u decide, im sure every combos been tried here at least once.

about the springs being a nicer ride than coilovers. with my jic's set soft i think it rides better/softer than stock, just a wee bit noisier over some bumps.

I'd agree with that, most people have GR-2s with their Progress or S Techs
