Lights went off while speeding up...
I was coming from before at about 8:30 pm. Someone was going very slow in the left lane and when he got over, my exit was coming up. So, I sped up to pass him and get over and off at my exit. While I was at about 5500rpm, my lights, which were on auto, just turned off. I immediatly took my foot off the gas and fliped the lever to the "on" position from the auto and the lights went back on. I missed the exit but didn't care because that never happened to me before. I put the lever back to auto and they went back on. I sped up a few more times and they didn't go off. Could my battery be going? Thats the only thing I can think of.

I hope thats all. It was odd too because the bezel lights and basically any light that goes on when you turn on the switch went off, but the clock was still lit and the radio was still blasting. Radar also stayed on.

If your lights were on auto you could have been under the street lights too long. If the sensor on the dash gets enough light for long enough it will think it's light out and turn off the lights.
I don't know where you were but in most places the highway exits are very well lit compared to the rest of the highway. You obviously travel this road regularly and it hasn't happened before though.
If you were behind the slow car you may have spent more time under the lights than usual due to the unusually slow speed. Just because it happened while you were on the gas doesn't mean that's the cause.
Maybe try cruising through that area at a slow speed with your lights on auto and see if you can make it happen again.
