Bug & Rock Hood Deflector... Where to buy one??

wassup guys,

I was considering a bug and rock hood deflector and I'm not too sure as to where to buy one. I've only see the CustomEnterprise one. Anyone have any suggestions on whether they sell a good one or maybe a better one can be bought at another place?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I second this notion. I searched for nose mask and came up short. Anybody have one they are happy with, what brand/kind, where did you get it, and how much?

Thanks!

Have you considered a clear bra? In about 20k miles of driving, mine has let through one (one!) rock, that was apparently big enough to punch through the material. A PDR guy fixed it for me free while fixing some other dings.

Otherwise, the hood where it's covered is completely dent / ding / scratch-free. And it's invisible from more than ten feet away.

Thanks, but I don't like the way bras look. I really like the way the hood deflector comes up a bit. It sorta like a little hood spoiler, if you can put it that way.

Anyone else with any info??

upstatemax,

Thanks, that helps a grip. Was it difficult to install at all?? And can you take it off just as easy as putting it on?? Is it possible to get a closer picture of it?? Maybe a shot from the driver's seat??

It was really easy to install, if you want you can remove it just as easily you will just have two holes in the back of your hood.

You actually cannot even see it when you are driving....

does it come with what you need to install from CE? and there would be holes in the hood because you have to drill it in?

Yes and yes, CE will tell you that you ccan put it on with only the 3m tape you dont HAVE to drill it in.... nope it WILL come off, you have to drill it. Its not hard at all, get a friend to hold it in place so you can line it up and mark the drill holes, drill it, screw it and your done. It should take you less than 10min.

Got mine from Autozone for $37.00. It's made by Ventshade and is good quality and easy to install.

On my 01, most of the dings are hitting the front bumper. Is the $100 nissan "nose mask" my only option here, considering the clear bra isn't something people seem to know how to do down here.... and if so, anybody know where to find it cheaper... OH, and any thoughts on how to keep my headlights from getting dinged too bad (they are plastic)

Now, is it JUST me, or is that the sexiest bra to ever grace a vehicle. I personally don't think it takes away from the essence of the max. At least not on THIS gen Max.... I say nissan did things right on this one....perhaps they shopped at Victoria's Secret.... I'm a place an order for one soon, I'd just like to see if I can get one for less than $100....

If you can wait a day or so I'll have a good picture posted here. It is a good quality product in my opinion. If it was cheap I would have taken it off by now and sold it.

If I'd known about clear bras when I bought my Max in Dec '01, I would have definitely put one on right away. No point in installing one now since the existing chips would just show through. I've been using a magnetic bra for around 8k miles & like it quite a bit. Only have to wash/wax under it once every 4-6 weeks. Bought it on magnetbra.com. You can see part of mine here.
