I've been eharing this wierd noise coming from the front end of my car ever since i used the hose clamps to reinforce the rubber hangars for the frankencar catback. The sound is like the ones made when you wind back a musical box or the kitchen timers. I hear it for a second when i start the car up, and nowadays it happens when im cruising along at 20 - 30 mph. Anyone know what i'm talking about>?

 

Are you sure its related to the exhaust or is it just a coincidence? Have you been burning oil? Sounds like this TSB:
