Driving impression after transmission oil flushed

I have a 01 GLE with 57k miles, so I thought I will give it a tranny flush heres my changes.

on highway when you punch the gas there is no second delays like it used to.

much smoother shifting in traffic

cars seems more quiet...

there is no abrupt sudden shifting when gas is applied and then suddenly let go.

thats about it...thought I share this if anyone wants to do it.

costs me about 70 with oil change at ez lube

Some of those are possibly just out of your imagination. An ATF change on a low mile car like yours should not make such a big difference, unless there's really something wrong with it.

I was thinking of doing it. I have 50k on the car. I did the flush on my 89 max when it had around 100k. The tranny went about a month later. I did it as preventative maintanance I didn't have any problems. So now I'm afraid to do it on this car. Any one else have this happen??

I did a tranny flush on my saab with over 120k. I was amaized at the difference in smoothness... and then by that fact that my tranny started slipping about 2 months later.

Because of ATF's detergent properties it will actually clean vital gunk that has built up over 100k and bands will start to slip (or something like that).

I really wouldn't worry about doing a flush at 50k. Now is probably the best time to do it. I did mine at about 30k and will do it again here soon (50k). Anything past 80k and I'd probably just leave it alone.

I would be depends on how they do it. At my shop they actually take the pan out, open the valves and replace the filter. When shops just "Flush" out the tranny they SAY you get 90% of the filter crap out but they are wrong. We have seen many people complain because they toasted thier tranny after a flush. If your having problems with your tranny, take it to a tranny specialist. I have had great experiences with AAmco, but check with your local guys there may be a better place.
