UDP + Timing Adv = FUN!

Extra throttle response is a lot of fun from this timing advance. I had Hogan do my timing yesterday, and also had Jeff from Maximum install my UDP and urethene motor mounts! I can't wait untill next week until my ECU readjusts to the lower weight of my UDP and I get the full benefits from it!

You should feel the weight difference between the 2 pulleys. I have the old one and its gotta be damn near 5lbs!

Worthwhile mods for any maxima owner.

Now I have to get the bish tuned with the SAFC. Unfortunately I dont think that will be until early next year. I have to get my suspension taken care of first!

Imagine with an L-spec, the car even feels clumsy..

I honestly do not think the ECU will 'adjust' to that.

I hate to bring this thread back to life, but i cant make a new thread or search, and I want some feedback on the TechnoSquare chip for the vq35de. Any good? 500 is a lot of money so im just wondering if its even a serious upgrade from stock. BTW it would be on a stock motor.

Not if it's auto (that's what people say). 6 on the other hand gives you a bit. Not worth it IMO but I've never had it so I can't say.

L-spec and good enough for 365(?) also spend some time in the all motor forum .... You can post once your post count reaches 15, or have the rules changed... Even if you did post about the TS ECU I would have flamed you and said

has anyone heard about the results of unorthodox's ultra sc pulley on a 5.5gen? wonder if it would be better than doing an udp since its stock diameter and light weight.

Tell him this ...

Pre-conditioning
1)Battery voltage > 12.9V(At idle)
2)Engine coolant temp: 70-99*C(158-210*F)
3)PNP switch = ON
4)Electric load switch = OFF(air conditioner, headlamp, rear window defogger)
5)Cooling fan motor = OFF
6)Steering wheel = Neutral(straight-ahead position)
7)Vehicle speed = stopped(no duuuuh!)
8)Transmission = warmed-up(A/T drive until "Fluid temp SE" in "Data Monitor" mode of "A/T" system indicates < 0.9V.(M/T drive for 10mins.)

Operation Procedure
1)Turn ignition switch "ON" and wait at least 1-second.
2)Turn ignition switch "OFF" and wait at least 10-seconds.
3)Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
4)Check that all the items under "Pre-Conditioning" are correct.
5)Turn ignition switch to "OFF" and wait 10-seconds.
6)Start the engine and let idle for at least 30-seconds.
7)Select "IDLE AIR VOL LEARN" in "WORK SUPPORT" mode.
8)Touch "START" and wait 20-seconds.
9)Make sure that "CMPLT" is displayed on CONSULT-II screen. If "INCMP" is displayed, "Idle Air Volume Learning" will NOT be successful.
10)Rev up the engine two or three times. Make sure that idle speed and ignition timing are within spec..

Spec:
Idle Speed - M/T: 625+/-50rpm, A/T: 700+/-50rpm(in Park or Neutral)
Ignition Timing - M/T: 15*+/-5* BTDC, A/T: 15*+/-5* BTDC(in Park or Neutral)
