Q's before Cattman Y-pipe

Ok.
I really wnat to get in on the Cattman Y-pipe GD.

I'm worried about the fact that I have a Greddy EVO-2 though.
I have a 2000 Automatic and the drone does not drive me crazy and love the sound when I get on it.
I checked the exhaust sound thread and am OK with the ones I have heard
But alot of people say that as a dailey driver it's a too much.

Has anyone used a silencer like this or this?

I have the y-pipe/greddy combo and the drone is'nt as bad as I thought. I think it just makes the tone alot deeper.

Whats that mean? Is that because a Y-pipe on a vq35 doesn't yeild as much of a diiference?

i've got a cattman y and rear muffler section, its pretty deep sounding and i don't feel that its too loud. with the greddy, you might want to get a silencer. any will work fine.

How much difference?

What do you think about the Apexi silencer?

I had a Cattman y-pipe with the Frankencar cat-back, on a VQ35. It is really not much louder, just the tone is different. I've heard Irish's 2000 set-up with Cattman y-pipe and the Frankencar cat-back and it doesn't sound too much different from mine. Honestly, you can barely tell the y-pipe is there, but this all depends on your cat-back's sound suppression.

I'm guessing w/ the Greddy EVO there will be more of a difference though.

You're right... try asking MaximaPolak... he has an EVO and I sold him my Cattman y-pipe... he has a 2002 though.
