00 auto feels like it is not down shifting

whenever i punch it at about 35 ish(that is the only speed i have punched it in a while) it seems like the car won't down shift. it just seems like the rpm's crawl instead of jump up there. anyone have any experience with the car not down shifting when you punch it? it does downshift when i come to a stop thought. the only thing i have is the matt blehm ground kit and GAB with K&N filter. it might just be the GAB though, i don't know

this is all based on the fact that i had an auto 00 for 4 years.
there has been arguments on if you can "reset" or "reflash" or "reprograme" a TCM. according to the service manual and numerous service managers and techs i have talked to, you have to replace it. you replace it with the upgraded TCM from the 01.
i had a bad TCM and didnt realize it. it wore out my tranny and i had to replace it (under warranty). after the warranty ran out, i started getting the "slippage" and had to buy a new TCM.

It could also be the fact that your shift point is 40 and the tranny doesn't have enough time or the rpms are too high to downshift effectively. My '03 has always been a dog at 35, 75, and 115 (not that I would know ).

Would they still honor the slippage from a tsb in 00? Looks like I have to use my 100k bumper 2 bumper warrenty to change the wheel bearings and cv joints.

a TSB is not a recall. they will always "honor" it...you just have to pay (unless you have warranty).
a TSB is simply a bulletin that lets the service department know how to correct the problem

well i was thinking about it and it probably isn't the TCM becuase it only slips when its cold(the tranny). i believe the TCM would make it do it all the time(just a thought) i am gonna change the tranny fluid again(did it about 3 months ago) and put some nissan tranny fluid in it. then if that doesn't work i plan on taking the TCM off my dads 01 max and put it on mine. and then finally if that doesn't work its probably the valve body. anyone agree?
