02/03 Exterior Color Question

I'm trying to buy an 02/03 maxima, and I really like some of the *silver* one's I've seen on autotrader. However, I've noticed not all the *silvers* look the same. Some even say titatnium silver, which I like the best. I looked it up online and it said that the 02/03 had a choice of 3 different silvers:

Sterling Mist Metallic

Sheer Silver Metallic

Polished Titanium Metallic

Were all 3 avialable on the SE??? I think I can tell which ones are the polished titanium (the ones I like the best) but what's the difference between the other two "sheer silver" and "sterling mist" ? I'm glad Nissan had so many options, but it's making it difficult now finding what I want!

I *think* the polished titanium silver was only offered in 03, the sterling mist is more of a biege

Yeah - I just looked up the 02 colors and there is no polished titanium silver. There is a sterling mist metallic for 02 and 03, and I'm guessing that's the really light silver i see a lot. I still don't know about this "sheer silver metallic" - anyone have any pics? It looks like it was only offered in 03 too.

?? It's just darker, there's no beige or sand color in it.

boondox - your polished titanium is sweet....that's the car i want!! I had trouble with the colors, but everytime I see one in that color, I know it's the one. If you're looking to sell, HOLLER. later.

Sheer Silver Metallic and Polished Titanium Metallic is for 03 only. But if you can find Polished Titanium go for it, they're vey rare.
