Ok im thinking of changing my ugly yellow dragon intake and getting a place racing cai. Reason being is that i recently blew my maf after having the intake for 7k. Anyways i just wanna know the pros and cons of a cai, will this thing get wet if a get a car wash or somthing, cuz by the looks of it being in the wheel well it looks like it could get wet eassily.

i had a CosmoRacing intake, but changed it.i now have a Nismo CAI, it was made for the 6th Gen. max's and took some modification to make it work. i got the intake primarily for the look.
Pro's:nice deep ******* growl, especially when you step on the gas. there is a slight horsepower increase, to me it seems to be in the higher rpms.
to keep it from sucking water you can get a bypass valve.

Definitely get rid of the Dragon filter. The foam will deteriorate over time and mess up your MAF and your engine. When I had my weaponR I replaced the dragon with the apexi filter. Inexpensive solution. Currently i'm running the injen cai. It's not a true cai but it works for me. I'm curious to see the nismo setup though. Do the research, weight the issues and see what works for you.

Are you looking for better gas mileage or better performance
Cuz the injen will give u ton of gas mileage but i heard tons of complains for performance... short ram filter are the best for performace and no worried about getting water in them....
