Weird Power Everything Interior Issue. Help!!!
Ok, this is pissing me off so bad.
Last night I was to open the car, and power locks don't work. Opened it with the key, and seats don't work, windows don't work.
I started it, touched the seat power and it worked, just for 0.5 second and stopped. Before that I checked the fuse and the link (40A in engine comp.). All are fine, but since it started working fuses shouldn't be the problem.
Then this morning, same **** again. Locks don't work and then they do for short moment and then they don't. So its everything on this same circuit (power lock, windows, seats, sunroof).
There is no specific sequence of events that leads to this that I could notice.
Can anyone help?
I was looking through FSM and there might be issue with Smart Entrace Control Unit, or the harness to it, so maybe tonight I'll get to it.
Anyone??
Thanks

um ya, or they arent being provided power via #13 and 14.
it would kinda suck replacing a $308.12 module to find out that a $0.21 fuse was just blown

The fuses are all good. This problem is intermittent. When driveing it either works or not, same when the car is off. I can't find the common spot for it not to work. I wiggled wires around SECU under the stearing wheel, the little box with two harnesses going to it, the one that clicks when locking the door - no luck.
Also this problem did happen before, but then it would blow fusible link (40A) one in the engine compartment.
I wonder if Consult II can diagnose this - but I swore not bring the car to the dealer again...

KEEP ME POSTED PLEASE. I have problems too. All of my interior lights, door locks, do not work, windows only work when car is started and keyless entry is gone. I think it is my SECU. And $300 is not bad compared to what I was thinking it was.
I have checked all fuses and even the circuit breaker on the SECU and all is good. I was goint to the dealer but they want the $90 to check the car first to make sure that this is the problem. So please keep me posted on this.

It sounds like you have two different issues unless the Nissan Engineers grouped these things together??? Opening the door should be totally unrelated to the seat movement issue. Check/replace your remote battery. That should fix the door opening issue. The other sounds like a possible weak engine battery issue. It is possible that the Nissan Engineers put in a protection circuit so that the main battery would not run down from internal energy users. How old is your main battery. I just had mine replaced on my 00 because I noticed that it was taking just a little longer to start in the mornings. If your battery is original, you should have it checked by a licensed mechanic.

Now to cmpletely rule out the battery - this whole things is intermittended, means I can not recreate this problem nor can I predict when it will happen.
Here is what I found today by googling the crap out of this today: http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/nissa...t_II/54023.asp
And what I noticed that after a drive, I shut the car off, and everything works. I soon as I get out, everything stops working. I did check breifly under the seat today and everything seems OK. But maybe I need to take it apart and inspect it better.
Suggestions are welcomed.
Its not my battery either. My car actually died completely turning off the car while driving. I was able to start it again and it died again. It then started again with no interior lights working. I let it sit over night and in the morning It started with all lights working. That night the car would die again and would not restart ( it was alomost like the car was reseting itsself). After dinner the car statrted but with no inside lights, locks etc. Its been that way for a while now ( 2 months )

um, really? you mean like the easy entry function that moves the seat back when you open the door, controlled through the SECU?!
not quite totally unrelated.
even if the fuses are good, check power and ground at all the necessary pins before condemning a module.

i am going to take seat apart thos weekend, cause i think this happens when i get in and out of the seat. Last night i was playing with the power seat, and while pressing it all the way down, i heard a weird sound the motor (or something in that area) made when coming to stop at the lowest position. Sounds like a short there but why would the fuse be alive. Also when this issue happened before - the 40A fusible link would break.
