Who's running with the 18" G35 Coupe Rims?

Looking to buy a set of 18" G35 Coupe wheels but have a few questions for those of you that have them. Some of you guys on here roll with them, and they all look pretty good.

1 - Are you running a staggered setup? If so, what are the widths and what tires are you running with them?

2 - Can I run without the staggered setup on all four corners? 18 x 8.5 is the widest I think......am I right?

3 - Are the one's that are a "copy-cat" on ebay worth anything? Would this be a good purchase?

4 - Are these wheels Forged? I'm looking for something strong.

5 - How much do these weigh? Doesn't have to be extremely light or anything but I want to keep rotational mass down to a minimum.

6 - What range am I looking to spend on these, just wheels alone?

Thanks for the quick responses, since I have to make some kind of move in the near future.

Post pics of what you have if possible, since they give a slightly different visual on different rides.

Staggered on FWD = IMO.

With this said, then your next point (#3) would cancel out

ebay only comes in 7.5" wide.

Not sure, I know the 19" g35C's are.

I think Jeffy has a sticky in the wheel tire forum that answers this .

The 18's are not staggered, they are all-4 18x8. On the G the TIRES are staggered 225/45/18 front and 245/45/18 rear. These are both the wrong size for the maxima, and will rub in the back. I run 235/40/18 on all 4, which is the correct fit.

HOWEVER, I am running a staggered setup on my snow tires on my G35 coupe 17's, which are 18x7.5 front and 18x8 rear, with 225/50/17 front and 235/50/17 rear. They BARELY fit under the wheel wells. I only do this because I got a good deal on used snow tires that came off a 350Z.

as I said above.....

they are probably fine, but are 18x7.5, as mentioned above. There are plenty of the real thing around (check the G35 forums) for cheap, used.

I doubt it, but I have found that they are very strong (and heavy). As you might recall when I messed up my front suspension on the road debris - the rim did not bend, even though the debris bent my strut and cracked the bearing.

I won't lie, they're quite heavy. See the thread Joel posted .

you could probably get wheels only for around $600-700 on the G35 forums. New from dealer they are $850 EACH

Preciate the response Josh. I'd love to have the new 19's which are forged, but the lowest price I've found with tires are 1500.00 plus shipping. That's still a good deal I guess.

Remember, the new 19's are Rays (by Volk)....so $1500 is pretty good price for some Volk 19's....and they are probably lighter weight as well.

I got a pm from a guy on www.g35frenzy.com, and I need to make sure that the OEM wheels are indeed the correct width. I'm getting conflicting information, and this guy says his rears are 8.5 width. Someone please give me some factual feedback. I'm believing that everyone on here is right about it being 8" wide, and the tire size is the only difference. But here's the quote from an actual G owner:

I will be getting rid of my factory wheels and tires within the next week (two at the most). I will know tomorrow afternoon by the latest. I want $1050 for wheels and tires. If you are interested PM me back and I will let you know something by tomorrow afternoon. I also can send pic's (if interested)

Tires have 70% thread (8,000 miles) / Michelin Pilots

Wheels have very minor curb rash around the front two wheels

2004 Factory 18x8 front and 18x8.5 rear

Here's the facts from nissannews.com.......so I'm definately leaning towards them being just 8" wide.

I'm running them with the standard size tires...225 front and 245 rear. Drop with Illuminas aand Maxspeeds inthe front, haven't done the rear yet, but I know that when I do the rear drop it will rub big time, no money to get new tires yet........

Yours as well as Irish's max has definately persuaded me into getting these. I've liked what you've done, and glad you posted. Great pics! Do you have any rubbing issues with the 245's? Tell me you didn't have to roll fenders or anything.

Edit:

Along with what Lontar1 posted, what springs are you running?

Lontar1 you might be right, if I'm on Progress Springs, I might possibly have a little rubbing issues. What do you think?

I'd like to run these with 245s

UGH!!!!!! The G35 Coupe wheels that I, TripleG, Irish etc. have run/are running are 18x8 for all four. Tires are 225 and 245-45-18s. They are NOT forged. The wheels weigh about 24lbs each.

The ONLY forged modern Nissan wheels for the G and Z are the 18x8 / 18x8.5 Z track editions and the new G coupe 19x8/19x8.5 wheels (mesh looking). The 18" Track editions weigh about 18lbs. I read the 19" forged Coupe wheels are around 19-20lbs. Not 100% on this though. Not that light. But pretty light for a 19" wheel.

I believe they made a NON-Forged wheel for the G sedan. Also non-staggered I think. But they look like the Forged Coupe 19s.

further confirmation that they are 18x8....I just had mine off to test-fit my snow tires. Just for you, i checked the back of the spokes, which clearly indicate 18x8

I have Illuminas (3F/4R) with TEIN S-Techs. I did have rubbing issues with the 245/45/18s that came with the wheels, but I no longer have this problem with the 245/40/18s. The front tires fill up the wheel well and the rear tires sit just inside the fender lip. No fender rolling needed.

j00z the man....thanks for the confirm. It's hard to believe a G owner wouldn't know what he's talkin about.

Front: 18x8 225/45/18

Rear: 18x8.5 245/45/18

and yes they are staggered... I am not selling wheels and tires separate due to it being an hassle. Trust me, they are in great shape. I don't know where you live but you could come check them out if you want. I live in Knoxville, TN. If you are still interested - give me a call at (***) ***-**** and we will discuss the rest.

why is that hard to believe? Think about how many obvious, dumb questions and statements you've heard from maxima owners.

Really? Man this sucks, I'm wondering why nissannews is stating differently from my above post. Unless "forged aluminum" is something totally different.
