Much props to Turbo95Max for working from 12 PM to 1:30 AM (with breaks and trips to the hardware store). We wanted to try these on my car for quite some time, but got discouraged when Hogan tried them without success (ABS light stayed on).

Yesterday, we decided to try for ourselves and see what the outcome is. With some modifications we got them to fit, but the real question was if the ABS light will come on. We started the car and the light came on (it came on while we were modifying some stuff), but after Turbo95Max took a drive around to break in the brakes, then light went away!!! Woohoo!!!!! I have ABS!!!!

So far the brakes feel very nice. We're going to re-bleed the brakes sometime this week to make the pedal feel more firm.

Pictures to come tonight...

Upgrades:
91 300ZX TT 4 piston front calipers
Porterfield R4S brake pads all around
Powerslot rotors
Goodridge stainless steel brake lines
Resurfaced rear rotors (Yes, they were warped)
Happy me

Thanks Greg! I think I'm all modded out for a while.

Next up should be camber plates and torque converter.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention this... I am the proud owner of PokeMax's 17X8 Konig Tantrums wrapped with 235/45 Dunlop SP8000.

Congrats Kevin! Once again pushing the envelope to keep ahead of the pack. Can't wait to see the pictures.

So, I know that it was late when you finished, but could you tell a big difference in your braking?

Hehehe. Five finger discount without getting into trouble. I needed to use her wheels because our stock 17's won't clear the calipers.

I haven't stomped on the brakes yet, but from what I felt it's much better than stock. Of course the 4 pistons vs. 1 piston (stock) helps too.

Well I have fully polished 300ZX Calipers.
I just need rotors.

I need to develop a big brake kit.

-Inspiration...
Thanks Hogan! Guess what? If Cheston gets his custom brackets done (for larger rotors) and we put them on our Z calipers then.......

I'm thinking about 13" 4 pistons that will eclipse STILLEN. 300ZX conversion w/ 13" dedicated rotor, now that'll be interesting.

Hehehehehe I can officially say my car went to 80 mph in Matthel's garage.

Z conversion w/13" rotors does sound nice, doesn't it? I'm anxiously waiting for Cheston's results because I'll be the first one to jump on it.

Cool mods Kev, is this part of your custom work?

Well as tempting as it sounds Kev. I would not want to take the joy away from you. I will let you be the 1st to market your ideas. Just remember we do not want the bee's in the can sound. Y2KevAutomotive

Hehehe I didn't want to say anything until Matthel and I were done with it. We've got another project in stored, but this is going to take much longer.

Good luck with this one because it's going to take a lot more customization than the Z conversion.

hehe interesting......yea Kev, we gotta rebled them whenw e get a chance.

Hogan, i was wondering when your ABS light went on, cause i couldnt figure out why it would go on from the caliper. so we tried it and it didnt. I did take a look at the ABS magnetic sensor and it was really dirty and stuff so i cleaned it up...maybe this caused your prob.

Yup, we'll do that when I drop your CD's off or something. We also have to do the left hand side thingy.
