I am in the process of picking up a set today....I'll prob have pictures up by tonight hopefully....people on the .org say they aren't that yellow and not worth the money....I don't really mind since I'm getting mine for cheap and I got money to burn (Xmas money)....I heard the key to bringing out the Ion Crystals is to aim your foglights higher...I will try that out

I got the plasma ions. When I first join the org there were some people who didn't like the ion crystals. That's why I went with the plasma ions. It's not as yellow as I want them to be but it works for me.

are you talking about the super plasmas? if so, then there should be NO yellow what so ever in the bulb....its meant to be a white/purple/bluish type bulb....

PIAA ION CRYSTAL = mostly yellow with a lil bit of diff colors
PIAA SUPER PLASMA = mostly white with a hint of purple/blue

I'm talking about PIAA PLASMA IONS. These are bulbs that are marketed in Japan (JDM) but imported to the US. I think these are a step above the ion crystals.

There should be other online shops cheaper thatn this but I know eautoworks has them. http://www.eautoworks.com/html/ORD-1-1-1-23933.cfm

Hey Alpine,

I don't mean to discourage you, but i just posted what I've seen with these bulbs. Both are decent and they do what they are supposed to to do. Some guys go with the Ion crystals becasue they're cheaper or they didn't know that the plasma ions existed. If you are not please with the color you can do what my friend did. Add a yellow film over the fog light.

As for installing the bulbs I recommend jacking the car up. Do one side at a time. You wll need to remove the fog light itself. Careful when removing because the housing can easily fall out onto the ground. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks a lot, Ill do that. As for the Plasma Ions, I didnt know they existed. I was going for a piercing yellow look like the stock ES300 fogs, I have 30,000K HIDS which are super purple and I thought the yellow might look good along with them.

The only way to really do that is to get the yellow capsules from HIDTech.com. You can then use any bulb you want and it'll still be really yellow, just look at Dr. Roy's (HID fogs) and Irish44J's fogs (OEM fog bulbs).

I have Ion Crystals and they're yellow enough for me.

i tried both, then moved on to tye yellow capsules with yellow bulbs....VERY bright, this is with the OEM cap over the yellow one so i dont have that yellow coloring during the day. just get cheap yellow lights and do the yellow capsule mod if you want IS300 yellow, capsules>IS300.

Try finding another online shop. I got ripped on shipping the last time.

Actually the several purchases before the last was great that's why I went to them, but I don't know what happened the last time and it was too late because I need the accessories. Very difficult for Hawaii people to find shipping deals. We just have to search for it.

I've had almost all of the yellows available except HIDs..

1. Narva Gold bulbs (aka Candlepower Gold) - the yellowest bulb out there, but still not all that yellow.
2. Crystal Ion PIAA - really not all that yellow at all, plus it has a hint of green from some angles...didn't like them at all.
3. Yellow Lamin-x coating (with PIAA Crystal Ion bulbs) - more yellow, but still not enough.
4. Currently, yellow capsules with STOCK bulbs....by far the most yellow, best looking. Plus if a bulb burns out, I can get a new one for $3 at Autozone, not pay $25 for a new PIAA

here's a shot of the Lamin-x with PIAA (they looked less yellow in person)

and one of the capsules with stock bulbs (they look just like this in person)....you be the judge

my only problem is that baking my fog light and drilling into it is not an option...these are a going to be a gift and no one seems to think its a good idea. I'm really not even that comfortable myself doing it so yellow bulbs for me it is.

btw...go to luminics site...free shipping!

no one thinks what is a good idea? Getting yellow bulbs, or opening your fog lights up?
