High Idle FIXED

When I first got my car I decided to tune it up and cleaned the TB with carb cleaner. My high idle was then fixed by installing a new throttle body. The dealer wanted 800.00 for a new one. I was able to buy one from a guy I know. If anyone needs a throttle body let me know and I can get them a deal on one. What a relief to finally get rid of my high idle. I guess I'll never clean my TB again.

that's fine...normal for it to be high when you first start then it goes down as the car warms up.

Carb cleaner is not Nissan throttle body friendly. A lot of people would have been able to give you advice on that. They make TB cleaner that is safe for the sensors that were probably ruined in your first TB. I've use TB cleaner and it works great and safe.

Cleaning my TB gave me high idle and RPM surging when I was stopped at a light or something. I got my 60k maitenance done at a shop I always go to and the surging and idling stopped. Not sure what fixed it but I'm glad the problem is gone.
