Some kind of weird wheel hop...

Well I've only done this twice since I've owned the car over the past 2 years...basically both times the road was semi-wet and I was going uphill and went to put it in 2nd and as I was getting into gear the tires feel like they try to grab but slip once or twice and it makes the loudest banging noise ever until i get off the gas and then it just gains traction and is fine...the first time i did this it broke my muffler where it connects to the b pipe and thank god nothin happened this time...does anybody know what i'm talking about or why this happens (why dont the tires just spin like any other car i've been in) and if there is a way to fix it...thanks guys.

Did you do this on the same set of tires? Maybe you have awkward tire wear? Doesn't explain the muffler issue, though... :\

Nah, first time was a year ago on my Falkens and now I have a 1 month old set of new tires...the muffler deal was from the real hard vibration ...it was prob real rusty and just snapped from the movement of the car

It's just so weird bc in other cars, the tires will just spin and mine does that normally but sometimes it does what i described and it sounds so bad.
