*PIX* 4th gen ICE mod on a 5th gen *PIX*
Radio placement is still pending and I will post pix when I get that done.
I really like how the 4th gens looked with the 7" TVs in their dashes. I want to place the radio where the climate control is but I've never done fiberglassing.
Here are some picutures.

what i would give to have my max just like yours polak, that screen is looking good. if you dont use your cupholders often you can try putting your cd player in there, lots of work but you will probably be the first to do it. and if you do use those cupholders you could always use the ones in the back they arent all that hard to get to

the eddie bauer ford exploders, have a 6 disk changer in the center cosole. it would not be hard to make an mdf bracket to house your headunit, and stick it in there. you may be able to use a remote to control everything, without having to open the center cosole.

1/4" (medium density fiber). it's basically plywood made from wood shavings and pressed together. cheaper than using real wood, and works just as well in not too demading applications. or you could use plywood too.

I think there were more tutorials on that site about moving climate controls etc, so justt look around and you will find some. They have a lot of cool projects there. They had a guy on that site move his climate controls in his BMW to the cup holders. I will try to find the link.

I was thinking of making something out of wood and then covering it in Carbon Fiber.
Throw some more ideas at me.
not yet finish made mistake with the caution button there.
I like that alot, but how do the CDs come out when you're in Park?
How is it secured in there?

cd comes out. just enough. Very secure. I'm gonna make a bracket for it to bolt it on the inside so it doesn't move anywhere. That spot is just perfect for a HU, fits perfectly and holds it tight. You're also goin to need to cut part of the bracket that holds on the climate control and the HU

I did this about 2 years ago. Never got the glassing done for the deck replacing the ashtray. So I scrapped it and got an AVN. Never looked back....
