Luminics JDM Yellow H3!!

I recently copped me a pair of these bulbs...my previous setup was PIAA Super Plasama H3 (non GT-X) and those matched my stock HIDs very well...I retired them after 2yrs of use and decided to go with a new look...Yellow was on my list and I was really inspired by Irish's yellow capsule idea...then I told myself, I'm one lazy bastard to even tackle a project like that so I just decided to pick up these Luminics...a friend of my friend is the owner of luminics so I got the bulbs for cheap...check them out!

No Flash, up close & personal

Flash, excuse the white thingys flying thru the air

No flash again, this time a little bit further

No flash, inside the car with no headlights, no corners, no fogs

No flash, inside the car with ONLY fogs...no headlights no corners...

Thoughts, comments, ideas?

I think it looks great. How much do they cost?

Was your lip damaged in the accident?

Van - I got them for $20...I believe ebay and other motorsport shops carry them for $30 or so...and No my lip wasn't damaged in the accident...I just took it off for now just cuz theres no point in flossin my lip when the ride is messed up

Josh - Yeah i'll keep this thread updated to see how long these bulbs will last...my friend (luminics sales rep) informed me that they last quite awhile....alot of their customers are satisfied and they don't get that many people coming back cuz of blown bulbs....which is good to hear....he said if they blow out within the first yr of my ownership, they will replace it for free...

steven, did you re-aim the fogs to be higher? Cause when I turn on only my fogs, I do NOT see the fog LIGHT at all.

Also, want to sell me the old Piaas? One of my Nokyas below after 2 weeks....

yes I did aim them higher than stock....you should give it a try too...helps improve visibility...

As for the PIAAs...i think i'mma keep them...just in case I wanna go back to the "white" fog light look...

For some reason I feel as though they wont be as bright on 5th gen fogs...Every bulb I've ever tried in my housings dont seem to be as nice looking as on the 4th gens or 5.5 gens probably due to the design of the housing...just like how the 4th and 5.5 gens have the automatic window module thing

I don't think I can get the deal as low as $20...they retail for $30+ shipped on other websites...I'm going to talk to my friend tomorrow and see what I can do as far as group deals are concerned...Target price should be around $25 shipped...might go lower depending on how many heads we can get

The 5th gen and 5.5 gen fogs don't look much different in design...I know the material is different...5th gens use plastic while 5.5 gens use glass....the key to making your fogs look bright is to aim them higher...

Steven I love those lights. I also was curious as to how you wired your fogs to come on by them selves. I want to wire mine up the same way. I know there is a thread on this but your parking lights stay on too. How'd you do it?

I used this link to help me independently wire my fogs from the corners...

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2076435/4

the 2k2 wires are different colors though...use this website http://www.innerbean.com/housecor/fog_rewire.html for 2k2 color references

I requested the GD. If it doesn't go thru anytime soon, imma just buy'em myself. I have stock halogens in my fogs right now. My PIAA Ion Yellows FINALLY blew on me after 1yr + of usage. Time for something new.

EDIT: Just pulled the trigger. I bought a pair just now from www.luminicsbulbs.com 29.95 for the pair w/ free shipping.

damn i was hoping to be the first to get a pair but i have to wait till x-mas. Atleast now i have no doubts on how great they looked. I'm glad i did the research and brought these over here to the forums because they honestly look like they are the best yellow bulbs for people like me who just dont think opening their fogs for capsules is possible. awesome pics man, they look great!

Looks great I guess I wont be opening up my fogs after all. How do they look in the daytime? Yellow or white bulbs? I will without a doubt make the purchase.

looks nice in the daytime...I can't directly compare it with Irish's capsules or the lexus is300 itself....all I can say is, it's similiarly bright....can't go wrong with $30 shipped when PIAA Ions are $50 shipped on ebay
