Noisy windows with tint

I have 5% on my windows and they are so noisy when rolled up and down esp. the drivers. Any way to fix this with out killing tint?

could you describe the noise other than noisy? Do the windows squeak? Do they show any other problems such as going up and down very slowly?

Its a very loud annoying noise that obviously is from the window. I can't discribe the noise but its defiantely from the glass. and the driver side is getting slower. Im guessing my car has two layers of tint. I'm not sure how they would do that It's lumar metallic tint.

Nothing else to say.
Expect I am subscribing, and also that my problem is different. I have "wind noise" coming from front windows. (not tsb related)

I have had good success with waxing both sides of the window.....allows the window to go up and down very smoothly and easily. You can also try rain-x.

Try silicone spray. It worked great on my noisy tinted windows. Any autoparts store has it.

SERVICE INFORMATION

If an applied vehicle exhibits a squeak/squeal noise when the front door window glass goes up or down, use the following Service Procedure to resolve the incident, if it should occur.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

The following procedure applies to both front doors.

1. Determine the source of the squeak/squeal noise as follows:

A. Lower the front window glass(es).

B. Spray the window glass run rubber with silicone lubricant P/N 999MP-A3010 (or equivalent).

C. Raise and lower the window glass(es) several times.

^ If the squeak/squeal noise is gone, proceed with step 2 below.

^ If the squeak/squeal noise still exists, check for other causes of the noise.

2. Install the new front window glass run rubber according to the "BT" section of the applicable Service Manual.

NOTE: Remove any debris (i.e., run rubber material, dirt, etc.) from both sides of the window glass surface, near the edge of the glass.

3. Raise and lower the window glass(es) several times to confirm the incident is resolved.

Glass run rubber Part #'s LH - 80331 - 2yo13
RH - 80330 - 2y013
Book Time to replace rubber's .6 hours per side
Seeing as how you have tint - Replacing run rubber may not help. Just spraying with lubricant periodically may be your only fix if it is the rubber.

my tint squeeled or whistled when i rolled it down while cruising but i think its because of the loose tint peeling off?

All four of my windows were making a very loud squeal and rolling up/down slowly even before the tint. After the tint there was no change, same noise, same slowness.
Haven't tried the Rain-X...too cold to put on.

Just spray silicone lubricant in the vertical tracks of the window. Roll 'em up and down a few times. Problem solved.

Yup, worked for me too... I did not try it on the horizontal rubbers from fear of damaging the tint... Not sure how it mixes with silicone spray...

Same thing here, its really enoying when it starts making the sound, and it slows down when I try putting my windows up. IT only does it when the windows go up. It dosent do it on the way down.
