OEM 5.5gen HIDs in a 5.0 gen housing?

Hey guys I was wondering if i could install the HID bulbs/ballasts from my 03 into an anniversary edition housing? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Why? You could, but it would create some pretty bad glare since the AE housings were not designed for HID. If you are switching out your 03 HIDs for AE lights to prevent theft, why not buy a third party conversion kit instead of messing up your stock HIDs. Save them for when you are trading or selling the car.

Also, the transfer wouldn't be easy since AE lights are a different type of bulb than the 02-03 HIDs. It would much easier doing an HID upgrade using a conversion kit. That still wouldn't take care of the glare problem, but you would have HID.
