GXE Kit and double din HUs

I know this has been discussed but I couldn't find the specific thread I am looking for.

I am getting a double din HU (navi) installed and I have the GXE kit. Apparently there is a gap either above or below the unit when in the GXE kit. Is there a pocket or something that can be put above or below the unit to make it appear or to sit more flush with the kit?

Thanks.

If your getting a double din you wouldn't need a pocket. if you get a single din you would need a pocket. If your getting a moblized single din you would want to put the unit below to pocket so you would cover up your vents so much.

I don't think you should have any gap issues with a D1 and the GXE kit.

Not really a pocket, more or less something that will fill in a gap between the kit and the unit. I've seen pics and I believe there is a gap.

the gaps on my ddx are maybe 1/16th on the top and even less on bottom. not even evident in daytime, hardly noticeable at night only because of the rest of the consoles lighting.

you can only see the shadow of a gap in this pic looking straight on, and unless you can't see over the dashboard already- it wont bother you.

Thanks, that gives me some piece of mind. I just want it to look good as it can.
