Can you cancel orders from tirerack.com?

Hey guys I ordered the Avon Tech 550 A/S from tirerack.com today and they havent shipped out yet but after I ordered them I found out about how great the Toyo Proxes 4 are and would rather get them. Not to mention the Toyos being cheaper and a brand I trust more. Does anyone know if and how I can cancel the order?

I was thinkin about trying to call them up saying I chose the I35 and meant to choose the G35 (of course I dont know if the G35 and the I35 have the same size wheel) I wonder if they will cancel the order if I get a hold of them before they ship the tire out

Return for Refund
Credit amount will be calculated as follows:

TIRES: Credit less all freight charges incurred.

WHEELS: Credit less all freight charges incurred. Wheels cannot have had tires mounted; please test fit wheels prior to mounting tires.

WHEEL & TIRE PACKAGE: Credit less $60 labor charge for dismount and less all freight charges incurred.

SPECIAL ORDER ITEMS: Special order items are not returnable.

Orders shipped via Federal Express are charged freight both ways on refused shipments.

Credits will be issued to the credit card used on the order. If payment received was cash or check, we will refund by check to the billing address.
I didn't see anything about cancelling an order not yet shipped, I'm sure it can be done....
I would call them asap and deffiently do not accept the package or you will have to pay shipping back!!!
you need to return or exchange an item, please call 888-541-1777 (ext. 360, customer service) for a Return Authorization Number. We will accept returns within 30 days of delivery. All merchandise must be new. Please follow the return checklist to ensure that no shipping damage will occur.

I dont know if I am the only one but I need to get the most for my money... Like after doing lots of research I thought the Avons were the best and than all of a sudden I find these Toyos and I need to have them after hearing that they are better in pretty much every way. I am even feeling very stressed about it and am fearing that I wont be able to cancel the order so I want to increase my chances in every way to cancel the order and get the toyos.

Once you cancel the order, buy the toyos from racingedge.com. I had these tires installed last week and they are great.

They have a decent return policy and it seems they take care of their customers. Their warehouse won't be to the building you call, the info is forwarded there. They might tell you they can't contact the warehouse in time and your order has probably already shipped. So your best chance is to call them immediately and when/if they tell you they can't cancel because the warehouse is in a different state, the best thing you could do is ask a manager to send an e-mail or phone call to the warehouse. If he says he can't, Ask him where it's shipping from and you will call directory assistance and call them yourself.
They may not even give you any trouble...This is just a thought if they do.---Then again I like to **** customer service reps that make $6.75 an hour off by telling them to do "what can't be done"

I just tried going to racingedge.com and I dont think this is the site you meant. Its not even a car site. I can get them from treadepot.com for $99 a piece with free shipping. Or I can get the 235s for 108 with free shipping. Let me know if they are cheaper from the site your talkin about

By the way can I fit the 235/45/17s on my I35 W/sport package?

I have Avon 550's and have tried them in dry, rain, and now snow conditions. If you are looking for an A/S tire, do NOT get the Avons. If however you only get rain where you live, then the Avons should be fine. We do not get snow often enough where I live, so the Avon's are adequate and were not that expensive, however I should have gone with my gut and went either the Toyos or Dunlops (had Dunlops on my 2k, can't affort the Pilots etc.). That being said however, I recommend you to NOT listen to customer reviews and instead research Consumer Reports or similar facilities. They test under more controlled and unbiased environments. I went against my own advice this time around and have been kicking myself for it ever since.

On to the original topic, I have dealt with TireRack twice so far and have spoken with customer service once about shipping/installation concerns and they were quite helpful imho. Like others have stated before, call them asap. If they have already shipped them to you, I would think you will probably have to cover the shipping costs to return them. So the question is (if they have indeed been shipped): Do you keep the Avons, or spend the extra shipping to return them on top of the total cost of the cheaper (although possbily better) Toyos and come out about even on cost, but get the tires you want? Now if they haven't been shipped yet then I think you have answered your own question as to what to do.
