The leather on my 2001SE driver seat is cracking and it's pissing me off. At only 75K miles of a 100K mile warranty, I'm first going to try and get the dealer to repair/replace it. If that doesn't work, I might consider either purchasing a new seat OR having the leather repaired.

Any advice?

 

I have the same problem - a 2001 SE with cracks on both the driver's and passenger's seats. I took it in to a shop to have an estimate. It came out at ~$480.00 to fix both (I think there were four different sections that he would have to replace). That's just the vinyl too - I don't have any cracks in the actual leather portions of the seat - that would be even more expensive. I think I'm just going to have to get seat covers - that's way too much money for me...
