$1,000,000 question....

Hello all!
Here is the question, 2000 MAX Auto air intake system.
Now there is an air intake "scoop" on top of the radiator. If you follow the path, it goes two ways, one way is way down into a white plastic box, two, it goes into the air filter box then into the tube for the throttle. Am I correct in this observation?
As for the sensors, there are two. The little on towards the front of the car and the big one, mass air flow sensor. Am I correct in that observation?
If I am to install a Stillen Hi Flow intake , where do the sensors go? Obvisously I don't want any check engine light to come on at all unless nesscessary.
So many piping... Maybe Nissan installed a cold air intake for free... hehehe

yes, you are correct in all observations. I would suggest trying out an OSCAI setup before going for the stillen intake. Some have reported pinging with the stillen intake perhaps becuase of the sensor positioning. Do a search on OSCAI and check the sticky threads for more details.

As far as I can tell, there is only one air flow sensor on my car. There's no white plastic box either. You have a 2000 and I have a 2001 though. Doesn't the stillen intake have a hole to put the air sensor(s) into?

Thanks! I thought I was seeing double piping. What IS the white box anyways? And what is the first sensor?

yeah, i know what your talking about. I got the same thing and i took out all that plastic crap and just had the stillen intake. Then i just zip tied the loose sensor near the intake. the check engine light did come on but after disconnecting the battery for a little bit all is well.
