Don't you have to paint body parts before you put them on? I've noticed a lot of people put un-painted parts on first. Why?

Usually people want to check the fitment before they spend all of that money on getting it painted, just to have it not fit correctly.

that looks good, now it makes me wonder whether to get the stillen lip/rear valance or the AE kit?? they both bolt right on to a 5th gen right?
