SES code of P1320
Hi All,
Ses light was on for a week, today the engine felt like it was going to stall. stop by AutoZone, pulled the code and it is a P1320, Guy at AZ have no idea what type of error it is. Follow the message here to be "P1320 - Ignition
Signal".Wondering if any one know of this error and how to fix it. I am getting that it can be the sparkplug coil but not sure, these 2kmaxs have known coil problems. Any idea would be great. It is a 2k max auto se with 82,xxx miles
Thank You
Jack

that is the code for the coils. 2k are notorious for one or more going bad. if you are going to keep the car for a while then i would suggest replacing all 6. look for daves b number in the faq for a great price on them. if you want just replace one then either need a misfire code to show exactly what cylinder or you could try unplugging them one by one and seeing which does not change the running condition of the motor. once you find one that does not change it then that is the culprit.

Thanks for the information.
I am going to give the one at a time a try.
if i am going to do that. do i unplug at the electrical plug, pulling the green tab to release from the ignitor or pulling the whole ignitor out from the spark plug? don't want to burn anything if not done the right way.
by the way, how much do they go for?
Thank You again.

I had the same code. It was the coils, but before you run out to the dealer or your local shop guy, see this thread. 13 pages of good info, it saved me $$$. http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=198517&page=1

Thanks again sloppymax, you was right on the nose. I tested the car by removing one plug at a time and the front second in front the belt was bad. it was good and then bad. All the other plugs, you can heard the sparks, but that one, no light and no sound and no reaction from the engine. Thank You all. I will have to get one from dealer to get car running and get the rest from Dave B. I think he should have a thread here for request.
