Aftermarket exhaust - Hangers (Nismo, Walker, etc)
Aftermarket exhaust - Hangers (Nismo, Walker, etc)
Hey guys,
If you have aftermarket exhaust hangars, where did you purchase them? I can't find Walkers locally, and I am not sure about the Nismo ones as it lists one part number for many cars.
Do you know of any online places that sells Walkers?

i just got the one hanger replaced on my B-pipe....just some regular part that my mechanic got for me. cost like 6 bucks or something. i think most hangers are universal. it eliminated the banging, though im probably gonna go with the hose clamps on all the hangers to make sure.
talking about exhaust hangers...
What the **** is up with those ****ty hangers Nissan designed????!!!!!!
More specifically the one right after the resonator (mid muffler, under the armrest).
That b!tch broke twice this year!! Keep paying this garage to weld it back....
Not only the hanger is a bad design but where the hanger connects to the pipe, the pipe is WAY compressed and totally restricting flow.
Are you guys saying that there are aftermarket hangers to replace that crappy hanger after ther resonator??

The hangers we're talking about are the rubber hangers like the one pictured at the top of your picture.
There are crimped bends in the stock b-pipe, which is why many people have gone aftermarket.

the nismo ones are not worth the price because at first I thought they were made of urethane, but are actually just hard rubber. They are stiffer because they are solid pieces instead of the stock ones that feature gaps in the middle.
what I ended up doing since I already bought mine was to hold them compressed with heavy duty zip ties and it fixed my issues.

i have 3 nismo's on the muffler and OEM by the b-pipe. at first, the nismo's solved ALL my problems, but after i raised the car, the problem came back. i then put a clamp on the OEM by the b-pipe and all is solved.
my thing with hose clamps is that even though you put them on, the whole muffler feels flimsy as it moves around. maybe i just did it wrong. in either case, the nismo's are SO SO SO tight (PITA to put on) that it feels insanely firm. i'm happy thus far.
