I would think that since the ES300 is really nothing more than a glorified Toyota Camry, you should have no problems beating him out.

you can win

when i had my 99 maxima, this old dude in a 2000 lexus es300 tried to race me on the freeway, i floored it (with only an HKS intake) and he was left behind, like about 3 or 4 car lengths and he never caught up until i slowed down to get off the exit. so i think you should have nothing to worry about, take him .

here are the specs...

he either has a 210hp, 200hp, or 188hp, either way, cause i think that its heavy, you should win, 210hp might give a run, but i doubt you'd lose.

I had a 96 Camry V6LE before I got my maxima, and their drivetrains are identical, but the lexus is heavier, and I had a CAI and ignition on mine. I can tell you for a fact, that your max should have NO problem creaming him. By the time you get to 100 (if you guys get that far) you should have him by 4 or 5 car lengths. I'm going by the races my friend and I have had with his V6 firebird vs. the camry and the maxima, and he was dead even with the camry, but I kill him every time at every speed with the max. Go out there and kick his ***, courtesy of your lemon.

Comparison....

If you are both stock...

2000 Lexus ES300:
Horsepower: 210 hp @ 5800 rpm
Torque: 220 ft-lbs. @ 4400 rpm
Weight: 3373 lbs.
Acceleration (0-60 mph): 7.7 sec.

2000 Maxima SE:
Horsepower: 222 hp @ 6400 rpm
Torque: 217 ft-lbs. @ 4000 rpm
Weight: 3199 lbs.
Acceleration (0-60 mph): 6.7 sec

He is lunch meat!!! Don't forget to wave to him when you fly by him!
Have fun....

It looks like you have the means to show him just how sweet a lemon can taste!

Drive carefully, but dust 'em!
