those who painted their front lips themselves..

I just got my front lip in today. It has all the pieces to install it. Im thinking about doing it myself but now sure if i should just take it to a body shop to do. Has anyone bought a spray can of paint, primer, and clearcoat to do this? If so how did it turn out? How many layers of each did you put on. And since its cold outside, am i better off just taking it to a shop? I guess it would save me some frustration. The shop i called quoted me about 110$. Good..bad? How much have you paid to paint and install your lips? I know its a lot of questions, i hope i can get alot of feedback in return.
Thanks guys

let the shop do it. its hard to get the paint to match perfectly if you do it yourself. At least with the shop you could have them redo it till its perfect.

Yup, they are OK. Another thing for you to keep in mind is the material the lip is made from which matters in terms of primer selection as well as the elastomer used in paint... $110 sounds about right for it...

You're just going to ruin it if you do it yourself. Take it to a shop to get it painted.

If you have to ask this question you are better of taking it to a shop.

We did it ourselfs. My dad and I bought the paint and everything what needed for around $50. We painted front and rear lips. Did 3 layers of paint, and 3 layers of clearcoat. My dad does a great job, I don't think I would've done that good of a job by my self.
I'll say take it to the shop, sence it's too cold right now, and it would be more professional then doing it yourself.
