5.5 gen. bose + ipod

has anyone tried to wire in an input into the bose with the in dash cd changer? i know someone did it with the 4th gen bose and was wondering if theres anyone that has the know-how and desire to do the same with this head unit.

if not, im looking to get the best sound out of my ipod, who has compared a tape adaptor to a wired fm modulator and which did you find to work better? im not sure what to do yet.

thanks
