Automatic Climate Control Swap Possible?

Hi, I couldn't find this under the How-To's, I don't have search access either, so I apologize if this is a respost.

I don't like the look of my manual climate control head unit, is it possible to swap it with the Automatic Climate Control head unit? Are the connectors different? I don't need the "automatic" feature, so it's ok if that doesn't work, but I want that look and be able to perform all the manual climate control functions.

I just got my 5th gen 2 weeks ago, so please bare with me in my n00b-ness. TIA!

For the search function...Donate to the Org and it will work for you.

It will be a pain in the a$$ to do... so don't even bother yourself about doing it, other members will tell you the same thing....

I agree with you. Even a nissan dealer wont do it for you. And if you get it to work, options like outside temp and Auto temp wont work

I don't need the outside temp and auto temp feature, I just want the look and original manual functions, but from the replies, I guess it's too much hassle. I assume the connectors are different? Or the way it communicates is different?

The connectors are totally different. You will need to splice so many wires. Youre better off not touching and complicating your wiring. But you could try it and let your car be the test model.
