Can i sell broken Hid?

Hey fellas just curious, if i would be able to sell my hid, its the passenger side. The actual Hid did not suffer any damage, nor the housing. The damage to it is from the back, where you screw it onto the car{Not sure what its called} But anyhow the HID is in working condition i checked to see if it was working after the accident and it works. Do u guys think i can sell it? Any input would be appreciated

Haha, I was thinking the same exact thing. That was the part of the headlight that was broken off and left on my car when my headlight was stolen....

Typically, selling HID's w/ broken tab = To us anyway. because it would point to you stealing them...

you may not be aware of it but 100's of people have had their hid stolen so its a pretty touchy subject. just do a search on stole hid and see how many come up, then you will see why. chances are you are better selling it on ebay if its broken but you never know

My comment wasn't directed to you... I said typically...(read my post again if need be)

In your case, typical was not the situation.

No its not stolen they were in a accident. I said accident so i just feel a bit offended that you are saying its THEFT, when in fact it was not!

Oh...since you added "AFTER THE ACCIDENT" it MUST be true. lol

Besides, how do you get in an accident where the whole light is pristine except where it screws into the car?

It's actually very possible that he got into an accident and it bent the frame ripping out the tabs. But no one will believe it's from an accident if you dont post pics of the light and the car after the accident. If you cant show us a few pics then just throw them on ebay.

Upload them to photobucket.com and then put the links here. Seems odd that the headlight would just....detach itself and be in perfect condition...

the reason everyone is jumping on your back is because HID theft is highly despised on this forum as maxima owners are easy targets the way nissan disigned security. the fact that you are new to the forum and are trying to sell a part that sounds like its stolen alarms people. now im not questioning what you say, but just because you say it was in an accident doesnt mean people are going to believe you, especially since no one knows you at all.
like everyone else said, try selling it on ebay or show some pics here.

I tried posting them on photobucket, but it totally froze my computer. SO i am unable to post them, unless there is another way of posting that i am not familiar with?

Convenient. Now get a new computer to use photobucket.

Try Imageshack, that's even easier, don't even need an account: Imageshack!

HID theft is very frequent. If I were in a need of HID I would only buy them if the seller had some kind of proof that they are not stolen. In your case the only proof I can think of is the pics or a wracked 5.5 maxima with one broken headlight. Insurance and police paperwork might also be helpful.

E-mail your pics to someone on here that can post them for you without freezing up their computer.

In the meantime, I think you are a thief pure and simple, or you are doing the homework for another thief. If you can prove otherwise, I will retract my statement and apologize.

And the fact that you only have one light to sell further raises my suspicion because I had just one light stolen off my car a couple years ago so one or two lights is still suspicious.

Maybe you ran out of time and only got away with one of them. Just like NJ Devil Fan said, only one of his HIDs were stolen. So, your point was just shot to hell.

Once you actually get pics of the "broken" HID, then post them up for sale in the classified section. How about just pics of your car after the accident?

FYI...the lifespan of this thread is growing quite short.
