IM after TB restrictor plate

I want to bore this thing out rather than remove it, but the directional flow plate looks to be attached at the top of the opening...what did anyone else do that bored it out rather than removed do? did you just bore/dremel everything above the lower flow direction plate and make it like a mushroom shape?

If you dremel it make sure you take the intake off and clean all the shavings off real well before reinstalling....I know...Duh....But it's always better to mention, because someone will do it.

your time spent dremeling it might be better allocated to just removing it first to see if there is a whistle. Just a thought.
