Illuminas stiffer when cold?
I have noticed that in the mornings when it is below 30 F , the shocks feel much stiffer. I have them set at 2F2R, but they feel like they are set at 4F4R.
Is this normal?

Yeah. The struts are filled with a type of oil. At lower temperatures its viscosity increases(?) I think.

Yes, the struts will feel stiffer until the oil in the strut warms up a little bit after driving around.

spirillis - you're right about the viscosity increasing for lower temperatures.

My Hp have never felt stiff in cold weather and I live in Boston where it gets very cold. My stock shocks use to feel stiffen on really cold morings. Blues rule

ive never noticed this on my tokicos in my other car, but deff feel it in my JICs maybe its the type of oil used in the shock itself. my JICs are really bad at times, so i dont drive my max when its cold.
