question about bumpstops...

this tokico's lowering cautions sheet, it mentions "bumpstops".
1. Do not remove or operate your vehicle without bumpstops. If you need extra suspension travel, please shorten your bumpstops. A good guideline is 1/3 to 1/2 (maximum) of the bumpstop length.
ok, I did some searching. I plan on taking my car to a performance shop. they should know exactly what to do right?

There's not way of checking if they cut your bumpstops other than pulling them out yourself, which means doing the installaion or watching them. Cut off one ring off your front bumpstops. For the rears, the boots will have to be chopped up because they have the bumpstop on them.

I think ther eis some confusion perhaps. When you say cutting springs, do you mean cutting the stock springs instead of getting lowering springs (H&R, eibach, etc..)? Or, do you mean cutting the bumpstops? The bumpstops control suspension travel and prevent bottoming out. Cutting springs is bad and will give you a very bouncy ride I think
