exactly what does a new tcu do for the auto? change shift points? i'm not clear on this.
is this a reprogramming solution, or is it a replacement part?
of course, where can i get it and how much?

I will help eliminate slippage when shifting. The TCM is not reprogrammable, so you'll have to get a new TCM to replace it. You can have this fixed at the dealer for free, or buy it from Courtesy Nissan for about $300.
