Maybe the blue color helps me get the good mileage...I have it about 3 weeks. I love it so far. On the last fill up, I got 27.3 mpg. But I already got a couple of small paint chips...bummer...

Here is a picture. Hope I get it posted right.

I have a brand new Superblack with 127 miles on it, how long should I pamper the engine before I can let it rip on fools...

Nice car!

That was the color of my first max... It does a pretty decent job of hiding the chips =). Plus the touch up paint works great! Enjoy, and welcome to the org.

I miss my car. I finally had the guy who is supposed to come check out my damage and give me an estimate, and to the insurance company. Next step is repair. Luckily i dont need my car right now.
Take of your baby, dont ever ever ever crash it.

Thanks everyone. I want to put the FSTB in first. Seems like an easy task and you get immediate results. I assume you just park on a level spot and take the nuts off the top and put the bar on?

Exactly, make sure you buy the Courtesy bar for the 5th gen or else you have to do some sawing to make it fit.

Nice car! Congrats! Now, take your paint chip complaints to www.maximapaint.com. We're not sitting idle and watching our cars flake apart. Thanks! And enjoy your new ride!

Satin Pearl Blue Metallic

Great color! I just got the same, in a GLE, 2-1/2 weeks ago. Not many around - I only saw one at each of the dealers I visited, & mine had to be brought up from Iowa to MN. I have yet to see another one the same color in the Twin Cities area (although my wife claims she saw one). However, I've never seen more than 3 '00/'01 Maximas anytime I've been driving around here. Lots of Generation 3's & 4's, though.
This color is pretty rare around here for any year Maxima, which is one reason I got it. Also, light metallic colors tend to look cleaner longer, a prime consideration in a locale like MN, where it's less than convenient to wash the car weekly in the winter!
