I need specific VQ35 info

Hey guys as some of you may know I brought my car into the shop a couple weeks ago because of engine trouble. The dealership has been basically saying over and over that they are waiting for a response from Infiniti Warranty department. Its been 2 weeks now so we called the consumer affairs department to report the slow response from corporate but found out that all consumer affairs does is keep an eye on the dealerships not the warranty department at corporate.

After a lot of *****ing they said they will give us a shortblock after a bunch of people on this board gave us info otherwise we decided that a shortblock was not the right solution and that a longblock was the only way to make sure we were getting an engine with no damage. As many people said small shavings could travel in the oil and scar the heads and cams and block small oil passages.

The service manager at infiniti even said himself he usually tries to go with longblocks but in this instance he dropped the pan and found it clean. I know that even if the pan is clean there can still be material left in the heads and the cams. I need to know how the oil flows through the engine (a diagram would be great) so that I can prove without a doubt that there could be foriengn material that could scar the cams and we wouldent know about it untill many miles down the road when the warranty is up.

Basically I am lookin for as much proof as possible to get a longblock. Btw they also said only one cylinder failed compression.

I've lost use of my car now for 3 weeks and just today they gave us an answer for sure that they would give us a shortblock (much less any answer on the longblock). This is why we're pissed at the warranty department.
I dont know what to do I feel like we're gettin bent over left and right and everyone is feeding us BS so thick we dont know who to trust, who is helping us and who is screwing us.

I havent left the house in 4 days... as you can imagine I am not happy..

Maybe if you contact a lawyer. My mom did that and the lawyer threaded to sue Nissan after she bought a lemon. They settled with her before any trial was filed. They bought the car back at nearly full price, and gave her an unbeatable deal on a 350.

BTW the lemon was an Altima.

The dealer would need to take off the valve covers and look at the cam lobes for scratches. Then take off the cam journal caps and inspect them for damage. Along with inspecting the valve seats, valves and valve guides for wear. If all of that looks good and the heads aren't warped, there's no reason not to use them again. But after all that work, it might be cheaper just to use a longblock. The extra cost might be cheaper than paying the tech to perform a proper inspection

I'm really sorry for the bad luck you've had, but is it really necessary to put GD in the title? I think a simple @#$% would express your mad or upset, I hate when people use it, and I'd say others do as well, so next time do us all a favor and not...... just my opinion though.... good luck with your car.

Yeah I know. The problem is I dont know who is actually stopping us from getting a longblock. The service manager says that its infiniti HQ but I dont believe him anymore. My dad thinks its his general manager. We cant really tell and we have no way of knowing because we dont know who makes the decisions on how to remedy these problems and there is no direct phone number to the warranty department available for the public.

Ohh sorry man I didnt even think of the religious aspect of that saying that might offend others. Of course I meant to use it just to express my frutration and convey emotion rather than to offend anyones religion.

To be honest this board has helped me out a ton, and I dont meen to offend people, except the people who tell me to stop crying about it and offer absolutly no help like the person I told to go f themselves. On avg though this board has some awsome people on it.

So thanks for the support and future support
