Really Simply Question...

This is a really simple question for 00 max... but I can't seem to find the problem.

My turn signals as well as the hazard signals are not working. Everytime I use the keyless entry it works fine, but as soon as I try to use the blinkers they do not work. what can it be??

Also, when i'm driving the car at avg speed and turn my wheel a little to the left... i hear a light whistling sound as if something scraping against the wheel. any clue of what it could be? can see anything by the wheels...

Thanks for your help.

if the turn signals do not work, check to make sure you don't have one of the bulbs bad...if one goes bad it could interrupt the circuit and cause either:
1. all of them not to work or
2. the signals to flash really fast

the wheel problem sounds like the dust shield rubbing against the back of the rotor...you can bend it back a little to fix the problem...it's a common occurrence with maximas.

Had the same blinker problem with my 2k max, couldn't get it so I let my mechanic have a shot, and he ended up switching the Relay to a different relay.
I'll go check it to see what kind, cause I know that was the first thing I replaced, and it didn't fix it.

The wheel thing happens on a lot of maximas including mine, took me forever to find it though!

the wheel noise could be wheel bearings, get that checked fast.

ye, the wheel thing is most likely the heat/dust sheild, just bent it out a bit, however a wheel bearing sign is a whinding noise when driving, but try to bend the shield fist like evryone said.

the signal could also be the actual blinker lever on the steering wheel is broken.
